Anoo Verghis is the author of Kerala Cooking, a cookbook that presents southern Indian traditions using readily-available ingredients. The dishes work as part of a stand-alone cuisine, but they can also be integrated into other styles of cooking. Cuisines started to assimilate when produce was exchanged on the silk and spice trade routes.

What’s For Dinner? reflects upon this integration, as the author’s journey has taken her through three continents cooking and blending cuisines. The author hopes to create a memorable connection to food using these cross-cultural elements in everyday cooking.
